This position may report to either our Nucla or Ridgway location and will remain open until filled.
Job Summary
The Purchasing/Stores Specialist:
- Is responsible for purchasing and storekeeping.
- Effectively plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the procurement of tools, materials, equipment, supplies, vendors and services in the most cost-effective manner.
- Develops bid documents and prepares contracts.
- Evaluates and reviews quality of items purchased and reviews invoices for accuracy.
- Maintains a safe and positive work culture and professional environment.
Minimum Job Specifications
This job requires:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five years minimum experience working in an electrical distribution system.
- To learn materials and supplies used in line construction and learn RUS specifications.
- To work with minimal supervision and process paperwork in a computerized environment.
- Computer skills adequate to perform necessary tasks.
- To maintain a valid Class A, CDL Colorado driver's license is preferred.
